Flight: Addis Ababa 11:45 AM – Lalibela 12:40 PM

After breakfast, transfer to the airport for your domestic flight to Lalibela, one of Ethiopia's most extraordinary historical destinations. Moreover, Lalibela is a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Upon arrival, transfer to your hotel for check-in. Then, enjoy lunch and relax until approximately 2:00 PM.

In the afternoon, explore the remarkable Rock-Hewn Churches of Lalibela. These churches were carved directly into volcanic rock during the medieval period. During Timkat, Lalibela becomes even more vibrant as priests and deacons prepare for the Ketera ceremony.

Next, witness the sacred Tabot, a symbolic representation of the Ark of the Covenant, being carried from the churches to its ceremonial resting place. This procession marks the beginning of the Timkat celebration.

Afterward, walk alongside local worshippers and clergy through the historic streets. As a result, you will experience one of Ethiopia's most important religious traditions in an authentic setting.

Finally, return to your hotel for the evening.
